Amtrak introduces three new menu objects for first-class passengers
From lobster mac and cheese to beef bourguignon, first-class Amtrak passengers touring on the Acela alongside the Northeast Hall can be handled to new menu choices.

The brand new choices are a part of a collaboration with the Starr Restaurant Group, a James Beard award-winning restaurateur that operates eating places in Philadelphia, New York, South Florida, Washington, D.C. and Paris. A number of the group’s notable institutions embrace New York’s The Clocktower and Le Coucou in addition to Washington, D.C.’s Le Diplomate — an upscale French restaurant frequented by presidents, senators and celebrities.
Amtrak’s collaboration with the Starr Restaurant Group started in May, introducing a rotation of 4 seasonal menu objects for first-class Acela Northeast Hall passengers all through a six-month spring/summer season cycle.
In complete, Amtrak is including three new menu objects that can be a part of the rail provider’s seasonal rotation each three weeks. Previous dishes from Amtrak’s collaboration with Starr embrace black pepper beef from Buddakan — an Asian fusion restaurant with areas in New York and Philadelphia — together with chilled sesame noodles from The Continental Mid-town.

Eliot Hamlisch, Amtrak’s government vp and chief industrial officer, stated the brand new additions permit Amtrak to enhance its expertise for first-class passengers.
“Increasing our partnership with the Starr Restaurant Group reveals our continued dedication to enhancing the Acela First Class onboard expertise,” Hamlisch stated in a press release.
